U.S.B. (USB) Trailer (2009)

Foreign trailer for USB, which screened at the 2009 Vancouver International Film Festival.

A young man and his widowed mother (the radiant Momoi Kaori) talk over breakfast; he wants to be an artist but she wants him to train as a doctor like his late father. In fact, Yuichiro (played by Watanabe Kazushi, star of Miike’s Visitor Q and Oku’s earlier Cain’s Descendant) decided to give up his personal ambitions while attending his father’s funeral not long ago. His immediate problem is cash: he owes big money to a loan shark, and is given the choice between making pachinko machines and pushing drugs to clear his debt. He opts, of course, to push drugs.
