in defense of voiceofreasonin voiceofreasons defense, all of cheese's recent comments on other movies as well are pretty needlessly negative. as for the rest of you, it's also tough to take seriuosly posts which criticize an opnion while trying to defend opnions from being criticized. just sayin'.

thevoiceofreason isn't reasonableHey thevoiceofreason, cheese doesn't have to come up with an original idea for a movie and then shoot it if s/he wants to criticize this trailer Basically, what you're saying is this: if you want to criticize anything, you must have already mastered/created another version whatever it is you're criticizing, and then you may express yourself. I think McDonald's makes really bad hamburgers... but according to you, I'm not allowed to criticize their burgers until I own and run a multi-billion dollar fast food chain. I thought 'The Cape' was a terrible show, but my opinion is worthless until I create, write, produce and shoot my own television show.

Lay off voiceofreasongeez, voiceofreason, cheese is just expressing his/her opinion (however right it may be). hey, how about this for an original idea? some obnoxious twat that shoots down other people's opinions with rude comments?
and what do you mean 'seeing only the trailer'? i could write the whole movie and the ending just by seeing some trailers, including this one. trailers nowadays give away too much (or provide you with scenes not even in the movie).
i agree with cheese. speilberg has done so much in the movie buisness, broken so many boundries. whatever happened to the days of jurassic park, raiders of the last ark, jaws, and schindler's list? oh, and one i just watched recently, saving private ryan? even catch me if you can was enetertaining as hell and far more original then a movie about a horse.
i think speilberg just needs to stop catering to audience and stop making family-oriented films. create films that have the passion and feeling to make us cry and think about them.
and i have another for your list, cheese. Hildalgo.

Yeah you're such a geniusHey cheese, you come up with an original idea if you're such a genius, loser. Making fun of a movie for being 'unoriginal' after seeing only the trailer isn't helping your case that you could do it though, I'm afraid. That's about as unoriginal as it comes.
Looks like greater quality than I think most people associate with Spielberg these days, I'm interested in actually seeing what the movie is about. Though I may skip the theatre, I'll just wait for reviews.

how originalwow, a movie about a horse...
it's almost like black beauty. only he's brown.
and then there's seabiscuit, flicka, black stallion, spirit: stallion of the cimarron...i could go on.
c'mon speilburg, impress me with an original idea.
