Hahahahaha ... Idiot
Holy carp, P Henry you are some sort of wonder dumb! The Piers Anthony book was the NOVELIZATION of the film, not the source material. And of course it will make loads of money, people like you will go and see it.
by JournoGuy | April 18, 2012, 12:46PM
To Paul Henry
The source material is from a book by Philip K. **** you idiot. Now sit down and be quiet.

Hollywood Is So Unoriginal!
So, Let's get one thing off the thable right now. Hollywood money guys are most un-original. This is a remake...with changes. But the premise is the same. The original was more in-line with the bool of the same title by Piers Anthony. It'salways interesting thatHollywood execs wwait 2 or 3 decades and resurrect a movie script, make changes, and remarket it. Truth be said, film making tech is much better now.

I will see this movie, however, because I am a big fan of dystopian future and movies depicting such. This one appears to be more along that line. Goverment intrusion (Big Brother), Thought police, lack of personal freedom, mandated drugs, people are either inner/our party membrs or proles.

I am sure this movie will allude or imply that our live in the future is ****, if you can get past the action sequences and focus on the background stuff.

This film should make a load of money. The only question for me is big screen or Apple Itunes release?

Mucho Gusto
Well....total recall......it looks good yeah but im hoping its not as predictable as it seems. Never saw the original so I dont relly know this idea so I'm not going to be to harsh about this critique. Simply put it looks like a fun summer movie that might make a nice box office splash.

Nice
This looks better than the original.

Keanu?
Is that Keanu Reeves' face at the very end? Or am I just too hopeful that Neo makes a surprise appearance?
by Xander | April 4, 2012, 12:03AM
Wrong
@Loge obviously you dont know much about the source material the story is pretty much the exact same as the Arnold version this reimagining seems even further from the short story.
by Elsotho | April 3, 2012, 4:07PM
Looks GREAT!
Oh I soooo want to see that one...
by Loge | April 3, 2012, 1:54PM
Not really a remake
It bugs me when people call movies based on books remakes. The original wasn't even origianal, it was based (poorley) on a book. From what I hear this one has nothing to do with the Arnold movie and is going to follow the original book a lot closer than the 1990 one did.

Worthwile
I think this will be an excellent re-imagining of the film Total Recall that Schwarzenneger did in 1990. Hard to believe it has been over 20 yrs but this looks solid to me.

Besides, who does not want to see a Beckinsale vs Biel catfight?
by snotpuss | April 2, 2012, 1:38PM
Wow
This looks good & the chicks are HOT! I'm paying to see this =)
by wildethang93 | April 2, 2012, 10:12AM
One line from the original
"If I'm not me, then who the hell am I?" That's the only line I can remember from the original movie that they used in this trailer. Looks epic!

hmmm
I wanted to instantly hate it ... but the visuals look incredible. Sooo confused.
