Very aware of that. Keep in mind that they're keeping the title of John Carpenter's film, and the story is essentially the same for the groups of characters involved in both, so comparisons are going to be made just as there always is with re-makes.... ALL CAPS TO CONVEY THAT I'M YELLING AT IDIOTS

Effects!!

The effects look spectacular!! I am so glad to see a red band trailer release for this movie. The first trailer looked good and shows they're sticking to the tone of the original. Now it seems they are fully taking advantage of today's improved effects technology. ::[pause to watch again]:: Looks ****ing amazing, can't wait!
