The River Used to be a Man

Feature Trailer

Upscale Font A young German (Alexander Fehling) travels to an African country. On the banks of a river, he meets an old fisherman who takes him deep in his wooden boat into the wilderness. The next morning, he finds himself alone in a seemingly endless river delta. It begins an intimate struggle with death, with his fears and their own perception. After days of wandering, he reaches a village far from civilization, but his odyssey does not end. More and more he loses control in the Unwegbarkeiten a foreign culture.
