The Lady Paranorma is an animated movie that is not animated in the traditional sense; perhaps it would be better described as an "animated collage." The bodies of the actors were ﬁlmed against a green screen and eventually merged together with their heads. Facial expressions were shot separately and projected onto the contours of various digitally constructed three-dimensional heads. With a lot of tender love and patience, the ﬁgures were then rendered and meticulously placed within painted backdrops.
