Set in 1940 East End London, about a young boy named Marcus, who works as the custodian of a brothel his mother Gertrude, a.k.a Dirty Gerty, is the head mistress of. When Gerty's twisted attempts to make Marcus a wrought iron man lead to certain death for his baby sister, Marcus makes a decision to live a life of sin in order to save her.
