SIHaving read the book, it's a better-than-average thriller, and the plot is certainly one that begs to be told visually. But every scene from the trailer is DIRECTLY from the book (though they seem to have simplified the codes aspect of the book). Anyone could adapt the book into a screenplay, and anyone with a semester of film school could direct it. Why this story attracted Scorcese will be a greater mystery than the ending.

Cliched ending, huh? Thanks to all the book readers who decided it'd be cool to let us know how the movie ends!

interestingit... actually looks like it might work. this is probably one horror movie I'll actually see. Might (hopefully) avoid being formulaic...

I like itI loved this book, despite its cliched ending. I think that the movie looks true to source. I just hope that you like DiCaprio. I think that he was in 99% of the trailer.

Looks good.Only Scorsesse could make this story work. Good book, but suffers from a very cliched ending.

Scorsese Horror? Not sure if I'm ready for another Scorsese Horror flick. I haven't really worked Cape Fear out of my system yet.
