Looks awesome! I dont care if it does turn out to be just like Gladiator. It was my favorite movie of all time and Crowe is my fav actor (aside from Donnie Yen ;D)

Accuracy "smashccuracy"
I watch movies for entertainment, to escape day to day life, to let my mind become immersed in the make belief world of cinema. When I want historical accuracy I read books and in occasion watch documentaries, and sometimes those are also part fiction. With this sais please leave the moviemaking to the experts and take movies for their face value, ENTERTAINMENT! I love "smashccuracy and hope the movie makers continue to use it, it makes for better pictures! Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah!...put that in your pipes and smoke it! HA! (-.-)

General Response
Ridley Scott, has made so many excellent movies for decades so I can't see how this movie will be very bad. I bet it'll be a bit like Gladiator, but is that a "bad" thing ? That movie was well done too! And why is there so much worry about history being wrongly depicted ? There aren't too many movies that ever are. Watch the history chanel or something.

This movie should be pretty damn good.

What the hell?
Wow, this looks bad.

Someone forgot to tell Ridley Scott that "Robin Hood" is supposed to be fun. I don't want to watch a medieval "Gladiator."
by olenaooo | December 16, 2009, 5:27AM
so familiar
same director, same actor, same motion, can the film be any more similar to the gladiator???
by killsignal | December 15, 2009, 10:07PM
democracy...
i wouldn't call the "World" a democracy either... i don't think anyone else would accuse it of being one...

King John's reign has traditionally been characterised as one of the most disastrous in English history, earning him the nickname "Bad King John": it began with military defeats — he lost Normandy to Philip Augustus of France in his first five years on the throne — and ended with England torn by civil war and himself on the verge of being forced out of power. In 1213, he made England a papal fief to resolve a conflict with the Catholic Church, and his rebellious barons forced him to seal Magna Carta in 1215, the act for which he is best remembered.

HAHAHA
This made me laugh. This looks like Gladiator: The Sequel. Now with more ridiculous slo-mo shots. I will wait to pass final judgement, but for now, I am feeling like 'Bleh'
by sparkle_g01 | December 15, 2009, 10:15AM
Right Actor???
I don't know if Russel Crowe is the right actor to play the part, he is too cold and unattatched to play Robin Hood. Plus he has to compete against Kevin Costner's interpretation of the character.... only time will tell.

the whole robin hood legend is historically inacurate! prince john was actually a great ruller! the world is a democracy today because of the magna carta! i really hate it that they depict him as a villain. robin hood is just a middle ages comunist.

Wobbly Shield
Is it just me or is the solider running out of the sea carrying a very wobbly shield?
Historically accurate - or just a bad choice of clip to include in the trailer.
