Not The Knife
@Massy -- it's an unreleased Fever Ray (1/2 of The Knife) song in the trailer...

Remakes are not supposed to be copies of the book
Oh for "Spasrrow". I understand that you know absolutely nothing about theater or cinema. Thats probably why you are upset that twilight the movie was not a carbon copy of the books. Let me tell you; REMAKES ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO FOLLOW THE SOURCE. They are retellings of the original story. Not reenactments. They are written by a screenwriter, not the original author, and it is appropriate for them to change or keep anything they like. They can't ruin the precious books, because they are not meant to replace them. Its one of the oldest art forms in existance. When the oral tradition of storytelling was the entertainment of choice, people obviously retold stories they liked, but changed things to suit themselves. Thats why it says "based on" not "carbon copy".

Twilight is definitely a good achievement.
Why is it you think Twilight is not something to be proud of? It is the highest grossing film EVER to be directed by a woman. It has amazing DVD sales besides its very high box office. So obviously it has lots of fans. Most people who dislike Twilight are just sheep who heard somewhere that vampires should not sparkle, and have been repeating that same, tired comment over and over thinking they are amazingly clever. People like that are not worth considering. They likely never even gave the film a chance, and probably don't know much about cinema to start with. Twilight is a very well made film. But don't be sad. Just repeat the fact that vampires shouldn't sparkle another hundred times....

stupid ppl
oh please stop ****ing the director -_- if you didn't liked twilight that's your problem not hers
by samtheswimmer4 | January 23, 2011, 2:48PM
horrible director good concept
ok they picked a crap director..and for her doing in twilight the first movie she should be discredited..it was no way near close to the book with added scenes that she thought would be cool out of all the twilights so far it was by far the worst i already have no interest in this movie just because she directed it...and dont say it was the low budget i could have made a better movie on a home recorder...besides the director amanda seyfried isnt the best but i'll give her a chance..the movie has a chance of being decent

why?!
i had so much hope for this movie when i saw the title. it wasn't even the choice of director that bothered me...it's the actress. Amanda Seyfried's acting annoys me more than anything. you want to know why? it's the way she talks. she has the same voice - the same tone, pitch, and volume - no matter what she says or who she's playing. and it honestly bugs the hell out of me. go ahead, re-watch the trailer. feel free to notice she sounds the same when she's being lovey, when she's dark, and even when she's scared. no passion for the emotions she's being paid to portray at all.
but in the end i'll probably see it anyway because it's a pretty neat concept.

"Lolita" was the best LRRH gritty reboot anyway...
Is that Wolverine font? Did they dare to write "from the director of Twilight" with it? That's the wrong way of borrowing awesomeness, bub. They better be making a good movie now. Well, the girl is cute anyway. Sorry the poor english.

great movie
Wow...this movie looks good. And its directed by the same director as twilight so double points. If its anything like the Twilight series it should be a great movie.

Proud of Twilight!!
I hate when people bag on Twilight... its based on a series of bks and out of the 3 movies made, it was the closest to the bks ... Hardwick did an amazing job with a limited budget... she deserves alot of credit for bringing the bk to life!! Her only mistake was in casting Kristen Stewart as Bella... here shes smartened up & hired a brilliant actress in Amanda Siefried. Also regardless of what anyone thinks of Twilights content... it was a box office smash as well as its forthcoming sequels!! I cant wait to see this movie!!

The Knife (Song)
And the song is an unreleased track written for the movie by the band: "The Knife". A favorite of mine! :) woop woop!
by Massy | November 23, 2010, 8:45AM
Looks sexy
Wow, although this film is directed by the director or Twilight, it's looking promising. Amanda Seyfried is a great actress, and the director of twilight deff knows how to tell a story. Although it's a very poorly written story. I'm looking forward to this- never judge a movie by what others say about it- have your own opinion. It'll probably be great.

I Frown
I thought, hm...maybe, then I saw, "Director of Twilight," and almost turned back. Plus, I could do without the love story, makes me want to vomit just a little. It certainly looks pretty, but what matters much more is the content, so we'll just have to wait and see.

Red Riding Hood
Looks interesting, anyone know the name and artist of the song though?
by PeppermintPatty | November 18, 2010, 4:51AM
Be fair
The twilight-saga is crap. We all know that. But considering the book Hardwicke made a pretty awsome job!
So i'm looking forward to this movie.

COPY AND PASTE
Visually it is kind of "Sleepy Hollow" meets "The Village" ....."Brotherhood of the Wolf" comes to mind as well. I m just thankful that Danny Elfman hadn t been copied as well !!! I ll stick to Burton and Ricci :)

by Hairyman | November 17, 2010, 7:49AM
well...
Ouch. This looks painful. I cannot believe this is real.
by Cal | November 17, 2010, 6:46AM
Meh
It's not too shabby. Agreed that hardwicke shouldn't brag about Twilight, but it could be interesting. It's visually engaging at least and got a solid cast.
My guess was Seyfried is gonna end up being the wolf, but eh, I'll find out whenever. I'm in no big rush
by John R | November 17, 2010, 2:56AM
ugh
Let me guess, Gary Oldman is the wolf. [sigh] It's unfortunate to see Gary Oldman slumming.
by trailerADDICT13 | November 16, 2010, 9:44PM
hmmm
the music in this trailer is perfect...it looks interesting...nice twist. but yea like what @theboyce said, boasting you directed twilight isnt really something to be proud of...twilight was crap
