my badin my face! Sorry didn't realize the reference was to the music. Seemed ridiculous to me to compare this movie to Requiem... Thanks for breaking it down for me in numbered sections. I'll try to keep my fanatical impulses restrained from now on. Anyway I just meant to point out that Evans has a pretty decent body of work not including his comic book hero personas more often seen, so this film is more a return to what he's used to rather than trying something new.

uh@jerff:
1. Maldoror was making reference to the soundtrack for "Requiem for a Dream", not the film itself.
2. A person says "Nice to see Evans taking on a more serious role." and you lunge back with "Do some research!"? There was no call for that. Clearly, you're an Evans fan, but do you honestly expect the average person to be as familiar with his filmography as you? And do they deserve to be snapped at if they aren't?
3. Try switching to decaf.

hmmm@jerff
I think "sounds very much like requiem..." is in response to the first comment and not a judgement of the movie.

niceSounds absolutely NOTHING like requiem for a dream, except that drug use is involved. In that case every R-rated movie sounds like requiem. Good try with the name-drop though. Movie looks great, and glad to see "mr. clean cut" getting some good roles. If you think Evans hasn't done anything dark, dramatic, or intense before Cap, then do some research! He's been one the most promising leading actors in the mainstream, that's why Johnston chose him.

hmmSounds very much like Requiem for a Dream, but it isn't and I don't know if it's original or something borrowed from another movie.
Glad to see Evans taking on a more serious amd darker role, after playing mr. clean cut in Cap America. Film looks pretty good.
