To ThesarNo.
People (and more importantly, their kids) haven't "moved on" to Pixar and digitel 3D movies - that's utter bull.
I actually expect this movie to do VERY well, as it will be a throwback to a demographic that can appreciate this - as well as presenting an appealing story for kids.
That was poorly written, but I have no time to express anything properly - work calls!

Stillllona: Yes, the prince is a frog but a big part of the story is that when Tiana kisses him, she turns into a frog also. I'm pretty sure they mention that in the trailer.

Nice!!!I haven't had a chance to see the classic 2D animation on the big screen. This will be an excellent chance to watch that, especially when the movie is from Disney!!!

Great! It is not the princess that is a frog but the prince!!!I just want to see it, it looks elegant, classy and so romantic and funny at the same time, and it is not the 1800's people but the 1920's BIG difference, please review your history lessons!!

To xXAjaxXx:This is set in the 1920s. Half the story's already been revealed through blogs.

To Thesar:They're converting Beauty and the Beast to 3D. People are seeing Trahnsformers, Star Trek, and Harry Potter in 2D, despite those being films.

what the hell...Not just just a black princess, a bunch of other black people as well. Soooo....the movie is set in the Louisiana during the 1800s? Can anyone say awkward? Why would Disney do such a thing? In the 1800s it's likely that this "princess' would be either a slave or living in a ghetto.
Maybe I've got that all wrong (quite possible), but it's confusing. It's a good trailer but there's a weird vibe coming from it that's a little disconcerting.

Amazing! This trailer sucked me right in! Too bad now I'm even more impatient! D:

MehI just hope the first black princess doesn't spend most of the movie as a frog, that would be kind of... I don't know, cheap and disappointing.

The Return of the Princess DiariesIt's always nice to see Disney go back to its roots, but unfortunately for the company that's stocks have continued downward, it's probably not the best timing. Adults and kids alike have changed to the digital & 3D films, i.e. Pixar. This will make literally nothing, comparatively speaking, so I hope it was made for that amount.
That being said, hopefully it will be good, finally an Black Princess, if but for a few minutes of screen time - then to green. But, close enough, I guess.
All-in-all, it never really should be about 2D, 3D, Pixar, hand-drawn. It should be about story, characters and originality. Hopefully, Disney did realize this and brought us back to the ole, Little Mermaid, Beauty/Beast and even Sleeping Beauty days again. That would be nice.
