Priest

Enough with vampires already. I love True Blood as much as the next guy, but has anyone ever heard of over-saturation? Paul Bettany dons priestly garb for the umpteenth time in Scott Stewartâ€™s thoroughly unoriginal Priest, yet another mindless rehashing of Matrix-like heroes who battle hapless CGI monster-wannabes.

Vampires are teh sux! (but good cannonfodder, like zombies) Nice to see another movie that will not be packed with squillions of bodice-ripping horMOANal teenies.

Why?

I wish the world would stop funding movies like this. I can list many reasons why this movie is going to be an F but my keyboard might break. Instead I'll list the good things:

Paul Bettany (why are you in this movie?)
Christopher Plummer (why are you in this movie?)
Karl Urban (why are you in this movie?)

Paul Bettany, Why?

Okay, I LOVE me some Paul Bettany, but first Legion and now this? Come on! He's a great talent but now he's getting type-cast in the "post-apocalyptic" genre and it's getting stale. SUPER stale. The special FX and fight choreography looks amazing, but this looks like Blade meets Franklyn squeezed into a Chronicles Of Rid**** tube and packaged in a Matrix-esque fighting realm. AND it's in 3D. Thanks Hollywood.
