Possession is based on the 2002 South Korean film Addicted. Jess (Sarah Michelle Gellar) has her world turned upside down when her husband, Ryan (Michael Landes), and brother-in-law, Roman (Lee Pace) are in a horrible car crash. They both end up in comas, with little hope of recovery. But Roman wakes up and, when he does, insists he is her husband.
