Filmmaker, author and paramedic Benjamin Gilmour takes us on an exhilarating ride with unique access to ambulance teams from Lahore, Honolulu, Mexico City and Venice. The green uniforms and red helmets of the military-style Pakistani medics contrast with the more laid-back approach of the Mexican crew. The Hawaiian beachside rescue team similarly seems a long way from the narrow canals of Venice and its water ambulances. However they all have much in common, in their skilful aid, their matter-of-fact approach - and their need to unwind at day's end.
