The long-awaited sequel to two acclaimed HBO documentaries 1996 s Emmy® Award-winning Paradise Lost: The Child Murders of Robin Hood Hills and 2000's Paradise Lost 2: Revelations this feature film sheds new light on a lightning-rod case that fueled a decades-long battle between two factions: those convinced that Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley Jr. were guilty of killing three Arkansas boys, and those who felt the West Memphis Three were wrongfully convicted. In addition to reviewing the crime, arrest and trials, the film revisits many central characters from the first films, and brings to light recent DNA evidence (unavailable at the time of the murders), as well as other troubling facts that support the idea that the trio did not receive a fair trial.
