Their super powers are the swear words
This movie is trying to show you how todays youth do what they can with what they have. If you cant be tough with super powers, make yourself look tough and swear alot.
Good times. Gonna see the movie for sure.

Looks awesome
Seriously, this movie looks awesome. As for the people complaining that they can't bear to see little children cursing, blah blah blah... seriously? I started using cuss words when i was in 3rd grade... Almost everyone who didn't live under a rock has; maybe not around their parents, but amongst friends? Please. Cut the holier-than-thou, I need to be the beacon of protection for the youth america so i'm going to boycott a movie, bullcrap, and start putting your efforts to where it really matters, like, out in your local community or something. or, get a life.

language
i have 3 boys in high school, and i know for a fact that they cuss like sailors at school, although not at home and NEVER in front of their mother. the fact is, teenagers DO swear, and this movie while possibly vulgar, looks very entertaining. the cussing in it doesn't appear to be anything they haven't heard before either at school or in a video game-and even though i don't want them to repeat it, i see no reason not to take them.

Kiss A....
To those who whine about The C. Word who on gods green earth came up with these C words to me they are words of feeling and nothing more... if no one knew of them as c words then no one would ever think twice of them. So to me a words a word get over it and if not thats your choice and you can just suck it. l8tr kick ass will be a great movie.

boycott?
oh yea, i totally agree, we should definetly boycott this movie for all the swearing chloe moretz does, infact, i think all movies that try to stay true to the original story should be boycotted, ironicly, i also beleive there is a special place in hell for people whom boycott things. the movie is supposed to be obscene, as is the graphic novel, it is what makes it great, Besides in this day and age im sure she ( chloe moretz) swears mor then that in real life, not infront of her parents im sure, but among her friends, once you hit middle school, it just so happens to just be a social normal, so the only difference is that millions of people are going to be seeing her do it isntead of just a few, besides, im sure shes heard all the words that were in her script before hand. I for one do not see any problem with this nice little girl acting this part, and i am looking forward to it very much. :]

Looks great, just why so much &*^&!!?
Actually Hit-Girl uses one C-word in this trailer and another C-word in one of the others. Like Movieloverman I wish they wouldn't have a little gal swearing like a sailor, and I don't know why so much profanity is needed at all.

BTW, I read that Chloe Moretz can't call the film by its proper title around her parents. She has to call it "Kick-Butt" instead. And they gave their approval for her to be in this! How crazy is that???

Nonetheless I'm intrigued at the premise and excited by the characters, and I would love to adopt Hit-Girl. Cussing or not, I'm looking forward to this bad boy.

This rocks...
Okay, I admit the use of gratuitous swearing is a little over the top, but I've always had a soft spot for movies that deal with real people being super. If we only had the nerve these people display. But then again, there'd be a long string of body bags lying around if we did.

Can't wait for this one...

Boycott
I'll not be seeing this because there is just no need for young kids to be using the C word. Offensive and deliberately used just to get exposure.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a prude but this use of swearing is there just for the publicity.

Looks Great
I'm really excited to see this, I like Nic Cage when he tries at acting.
by small45 | February 24, 2010, 7:06AM
Obscene! I love it!
Not since Taxi Driver and Pretty Baby have I seen underage girls in such sexually inappropriate on-screen material. I can't wait to see it.

P.S. - Moral "Majority", eat your hearts out

:p
Looks awesome.
by critterfur | February 21, 2010, 2:03PM
Pow!
Yes! Hopefully it'll stay true to the dark humor of the comic book, but so far it looks awesome. Have to say it, though...the level of gore, violence, sex and profanity in the comic (and most likely the movie) would put Mystery Men in its grave...this is way more hardcore.
