As cab driver Khaled (Hadji Gul) shuttles his fares around Kabul, the aftermath of war is clearly evident: functional traffic lights are at a premium, rubble abounds and military personnel are omnipresent. Khaled’s hardscrabble existence becomes further complicated when a passenger abandons her baby in the backseat of his taxi. Khaled’s efforts to reunite mother and son find him not only navigating Kabul’s chaotic streets but also Afghanistan’s infuriating bureaucracy
