bloody awfulI just watched The Half Blood Prince. It was bloody awful. The book was amazing. I cannot believe how much they left out & how much they added that was not even in the book. Even having different characters do the scenes that should have been done by the right character i.e. Tonks was shown briefly but never mentioned. Luna helped Harry on the train instead of Tonks?? The Weasley home burning down?? & many other irrelavant changes that did no justice to the book. In short, it sucked!

follow upHere is a question. Share us what you think.
WATCH THE MOVIE THEN READ THE BOOK?
READ THE BOOK BEFORE WATCHING THE MOVIE?
here is my answer:
i prefer the later.
i always find it so amusing when some scenes matched the way i pictured them when i was reading the book.

can't w8i just hope that i will be much more detailed. because if you have watched the movie and then read the book you will be suprised coz there a lot of things and behind the story that you will not know if you only watched the movie. but if you have read it first you might get dissapointed at certain points you will go like "why they didnt include my favorite part?" over all i think it will be good watch!

Nice... very nice. The Order of the Phoenix was not bad at all...
I only wish it could have been longer (then again, who doesn't wish that?)
It was probably the best Harry Potter film to date.
Definitely can't wait till The Half Blood Prince.

HBP trailerActually, that "swamp" scene could be at the very end where Harry's chasing Snape across the lawn of Hogwarts. He does have the DA patrolling that night while he's with Dumbledore so that could explain the housecoat Ginny's wearing. And if you frame by frame it, I think it's Harry running through the grasses. It sounds Greybackish, but then he would be running there in that scene too. I love that "I"M FREAKING CRAZY!!!" face that Ralph Fiennes sports here. :D

trailerthe part where ron is lying on the ground is when he gets poisened by the meade from slughorn, after he's eatin those chocolates.
the part with dumbledore and the fire is, i'm pretty sure, getting rid of the inferi in the lake. but i dunno about ginny, or the long grass part?
cant wait for the movie

trailerActually, I think I know where the strange "Ginny in the swamp" scene fits into the storyline now. I remember hearing something about a new scene being added to the existing story, where a group of Death Eaters actually attack the Burrow. I assume this is from that scene...perhaps Ginny gets caught outside, and from the looks of things, Fenrir Greyback (or another of his werewolves) is hunting her through the reeds. Maybe her father, Arthur, gets scarred by Fenrir at this point, instead of it being Bill who is attacked during the end battle, because we haven't seen enough of Bill during the films to have any emotional connection to him. I know, even though Half-Blood Prince was quite a bit shorter than Order of the Phoenix, that material will have to be lost in the translation from book to film. They will most likely only keep the absolutely essential plot elements, such as Harry learning about Voldemort's past through the pensieve, the revelation of the Horcruxes, Slughorn's arrival at Hogwarts and his own dark history, and of course the various romances of the story, including Ginny and Harry, Ron and Lavender, and perhaps even Hermione and McCleggan, since I heard Ron's lost storyline as Keeper for the Qudditch team from Order of the Phoenix has been transplanted to this film instead.

Keeping me fingers crossed.I agree!! The trailer looks good but I still have questions about how are they going go fit in all we have in the book. This Ginny scene looked odd to me as well. I am waiting for this movie as eagerly as anybody but fear about being disappointed after watching the content. Keeping me fingers crossed. :-)

TrailerLooks very cool. I had a few issues with Order of the Phoenix, and was leery of David Yates returning, but hopefully this chapter of the Potter saga will have a bit better pacing. The visuals, at least, look amazing, although for the life of me I can't remember a scene from the book where Ginny is in her bathrobe in a swamplike area. Maybe this is an added scene just for the film. I do wonder a bit just how well this movie is going to flow, since most of it is actually light and comedic and then it all goes extremely dark at the end...and least, it will if it follows the book.
