Frozen Trailer (2013)

Trailer for Frozen.

Walt Disney Animation Studios, the studio behind "Tangled" and "Wreck-It Ralph," presents "Frozen," a stunning big-screen comedy adventure. Fearless optimist Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) sets off on an epic journey—teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff (voice of Jonathan Groff) and his loyal reindeer Sven—to find her sister Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel), whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom.

Frozen Trailer Screencap
Frozen is based on the Hans Christian Andersen tale, The Snow Queen.

This movie features a brief cameo from Tangled's Rapunzel and Eugene. They can be seen walking through the castle gates during the song "For the First Time in Forever." See if you can spot them!

Josh Gad, who provides the voice of Olaf, improvised some of his dialogue to make producers laugh.

Composer Alan Menken, who has written music for Beauty and the Beast among other Disney musicals, was originally attached to Frozen too, but he quit the project and husband and wife duo Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez took over.

They wrote the movie's biggest song, "Let it Go", in a single day.

Frozen
Frozen features an all-star Broadway voice cast, including Idina Menzel as Elsa, who has the power to turn everything to ice. Unfortunately, her power is unpredictable and uncontrollable, and it scares her. The bigger her fear of discovery becomes, the more her powers slip out of her grasp and, in the end, she unwittingly buries her kingdom in an eternal winter.

It's up to her younger sister, Anna (Kristen Bell), to save the day, with the help of Olaf, a happy-go-lucky snowman (Josh Gad), and ice seller Kristoff (Jonathan Groff).

It's a simple enough premise, but as can be seen from the trailer above, Disney have put their own unique spin on things. Unfortunately, the Frozen trailer doesn't do the film justice. It teases the movie well, but there's no hint at the incredible songs that really lift the entire thing, or the brilliant plot twists contained within.

Frozen is a film about sisterhood, about overcoming adversity, conquering fears and using your talents for good. What the trailer does show well, and it's something that is evident throughout, is that Frozen is also a film with real heart.

It might look like a kids movie, but Frozen is a film for anyone and everyone to enjoy. You might want to watch it twice, or even three times. Any children in your life will probably want to watch it several hundred times and by the end of it, it's guaranteed you'll know all the words to every song. Just let it go.
