Even the RainThere’s a lot to learn from Icar Bollan’s Even the Rain, Spain’s official entry for Best Foreign Language Film at this year’s Academy Awards. Lessons in freedom, greed and survival are displayed in abundance, but an overall feeling of depression and hopelessness seems to override its message. Make no mistake, Even the Rain is all about reality... no matter how sad its face.
