TRAILER
You cant judge it till you have seen it, it is hilarous and you will laugh during 90 plus percent of the movie or more.

Yes, this is straight from the french movie "The Dinner Game" (link included), which was enjoyable. You do need to read sub-titles, so if you're not into that, then maybe this will be a decent substitute. But, based on the quick clips I"m hearing on NPR (their interviewing Steve Carrell and Dave Roach right now), it's not sounding so hot. Think I'll wait till it's streaming for free on Netflix ... I bet I won't have to wait too long.

CANT WAIT!!!
Three of the best comedians of the decade are coming together for this film. It has a great plot and even the trailer is friggin hilarious!!!

song in the trailer
The song at the beginning is Catch My Disease with Ben Lee, love it!

Hindi movie
Except that the hindi movie itself is also a remake of Le Diner de Cons, which came out in 1998. And yes, there also is a back injury in the original.

Do your homework.

Hindi movie ripoff
This plot is a straight rip-off from an extremely awesome Hindi movie named 'Bheja Fry'. Everything right to the back injury is ripped off!

OMG, 40-Year-Old Role Models
Dear Steve & Paul,

I never thought that a dinner movie could.... nevermind, yeah, it sucks. Are Steve Carell and Paul Rudd running out of money, or are they contracted by hitman into making this movie?

Now THAT would have been a cool movie storyline; Contracted by Hitman to star in a movie that could ruin your career. Well, this movie won't really do that for them, but it was just an idea.

Take Care, Love Judd Apatow

You guys must not be watching the same trailer!
CMS91 hit the nail on the head! Steve is bringing back his 40 year old virgin acting...how in the world can you not like that! Zach looks perfect for the role is was given and Paul is working his comedy perfectly! Dark Comedy??!! They are supposed to take that idea and make it their own because we all know if that they followed it to a T you would be ticked off that they are just copying the movie! By the way, Anchorman was not their last movie together...it was 40 year old virgin.
by Zeuxippe | April 7, 2010, 12:08PM
No
Wow, this looks so much worse than the original 1998 movie. It's not even a dark comedy like it's supposed to be.
by lecomlaxer | April 7, 2010, 10:06AM
not good
yeah the cast is amazing, but this just doesn't look funny. i hope it's just a bad trailer
by CMS91 | April 7, 2010, 8:24AM
U guys are dumb
WTF are you guys talking about, that looked hilarious, this movie is going to be the bomb. Paul Rudd is the man, Steve Carrell character looks perfect for him, and Zach Galifianakis is in the movie, how cam it be bad?

All of the cooments so far are retarded
-This looks way funnier then meet the parents
-When have you seen this plot before
-Seth MacFarlane is funny, but he can't do movies. how is this unimaginative at all?
by kohl | April 7, 2010, 7:53AM
haha...NOT!
Agreed that looked really terrible! That sucks because I was really looking forward to this!
by Micah | April 7, 2010, 5:40AM
What a leftdown.
Last time we saw these two together we got Anchorman and that was a fiesta of stupid yet solid entertainment. At least a guy like Seth MacFarlane can give mean-spirited humor the energy it needs to be funny. This on the other hand looks mean and seriously unimaginative.
by a-parkman@live.com | April 6, 2010, 9:15PM
Agreed.
This looks dumb. I've seen the story before done many different ways and this is definitely not appealing enough.
by Farzan | April 6, 2010, 8:36PM
BAD TRAILER
wow, that wasnt even alittle bit funny. I had high hopes for this film considering its from the director of Meet the Parents, but that trailer simply sucked. With a good cast like that, I would think it would be funnier, but it doesnt look like it from the trailer.
