Delhi 6 Trailer (2009)

The trailer for the Bollywood film Delhi 6.

When an American-born man accompanies his ailing grandmother back to India, quick trip turns into a personal voyage of discovery.

After the success of his patriotic youth drama, Rang De Basanti, director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra has taken his time to make his next movie. Reportedly based on his years growing up in the Chandni Chowk area of Old Delhi, Delhi 6 promises to be an equally inspiring offering. When American-born Roshan (Abhishek Bachchan) brings his ailing grandmother back to India, little does he know that the quick trip will turn into the longest journey of his life. Sonam Kapoor plays Bittu, the local love interest who accompanies Roshan on that journey - one that takes him deep inside himself. Dealing with the on going Hindu-Muslim problems with a love story infused within, the backdrop of the story is the ancient walled city of Delhi, which many Indians consider a character in herself. She represents the chaos, religion, beliefs and ethos of the Indian people. The pin code of the city is 110006, fondly called Delhi-6. With an exceptional soundtrack by Golden Globe winning composer A R Rahman, the musical mood of Delhi 6 certainly indicates something special.
