Quick Review: Just saw it Today

The trailer looks really funny and kinda stupid, and I was very reluctant to watch it, cause I didn't want to waste money. But my friend wanted to go see it cause she read the books and such.
And to my surprise, this was actually a REALLY good movie. It was indeed funny, but much more serious that the trailer leads you to believe. I liked it alot, I wanted to see more, they should've made the movie much much longer. I also liked the fact that it wasn't so overly dramatic like most vampire or monster kind of movies are. Like life it had it's fun points but the base of it reamain serious. It was a well balanced movie.
But in the tradition of most books that turn into movies, the movie adaption doesn't follow the book. But It was still good.

disappointed

I loved the books so much and just from the short commercials i can tell that this is not going to be anywhere near as good. 75-85% of the stuff on the trailor travels way off the books' beaten path and i dont look forward to seeing it

omg omg omg i -love- these books. Agreed, hopefully the movies can live up to our expectations, but i doubt it. The PG13 rating is a shame.

Expected more.

I've been reading the saga since I was a freshman in HS. When I heard about the books becoming a movie I was really exited. Now that I see the trailer, I was really let down. This isn't supposed to be bright and funny. It's supposed to be dark and somewhat scary.
