Ernst and Cecilia seem to be a perfect couple, but when an accident leaves their son in a coma, their relationship begins to come apart at the seams. Their incompatible approaches to handling the tragedy threaten to alienate them from each other forever. Enter Walter, an enigmatic stranger with unusual gifts who inserts himself into their lives and reminds them of the importance of loving and helping others. But it soon becomes apparent that Walter is not quite what he seems.
