A kidnapper captures the daughter of a tycoon, but with $500,000 missing from the ransom and the girl dead, detective Woodward becomes the prime suspect. Capitalizing on Woodward’s tarnished reputation, a crooked cop engages him as the perfect “partner” for a staged kidnapping. It soon becomes evident that everyone has their own agenda.
