Foreign trailer for The Dark Sea.
Nothing could be more routine than the call that inspector Luca received the day he was helping his girlfriend Veronica move in with him. Their love was fresh and honest and Veronica had welcomed a serious relationship with him very soon after they had met.
Seemingly, the investigation was just another routine homicide case, the murder of a young woman, a university student. Yet, that call has a disturbing effect on Luca. The life of this seemingly innocent victim inexplicably ignites in Luca fear, erotic desire, an obsessive and irresistible attraction.
The investigation comes to a standstill. Luca slowly begins to lose all sense of reality, even suspecting his loving Veronica of being capable of leading a sordid double life. He is as if possessed, now, by his own suggestive images, projections, a relentless nightmare of fantasies, sexual punishment and pleasure. He is flailing in a dark sea, devoid of all light, yet the enigma and its shattering response may be much more intimate than anyone can imagine.
