Bilal is a story about a three year old boy living in central Kolkata, who tries hard to understand blindness as his parents are blind. Bilal also has a little brother named Hamza. Both of them live inside a tiny dark room as they play the curious game of seeing and not seeing.Though of a very tender age, Bilal is fully aware of the physical handicap of his parents. He knows how to communicate with them through sounds and touch. He is never jobless, be it guiding his blind parents through the traffic or training up the art of making mischiefs to his brother. Bilal tastes the hard life on street from his elders, but never gives up.The film tells this unusual story by observing the little boy over a year by capturing rare moments of sharing love, fun, cruelty and hope.
