Table 19 Trailer (2017)
Trailer for Table 19.
Ex-maid of honor Eloise (Anna Kendrick) - having been relieved of her duties after being unceremoniously dumped by the best man via text - decides to hold her head up high and attend her oldest friend's wedding anyway. She finds herself seated at the 'random' table in the back of the ballroom with a disparate group of strangers, most of whom should have known to just send regrets (but not before sending something nice off the registry). As everyone's secrets are revealed, Eloise learns a thing or two from the denizens of Table 19. Friendships - and even a little romance - can happen under the most unlikely circumstances.
Table 19 is written by the Duplass brothers who also wrote Jeff, Who Lives at Home, Cyrus, and Baghead.
Another shotgun production, principal photography began on March 27, 2015 and ended on April 30, 2015.
Director Jeffrey Blitz's only other feature film (non-documentary) is Rocket Science (2007).
You hear about a film written by Jay Duplass & Mark Duplassplus starring Anna Kendrick, Lisa Kudrow, Stephen Merchant, Tony Revolori, Craig Robinson, June Squibb, etc and you have to think this will be a golden gem. But after watching this trailer, the film seems to fall flat.
I like the premise where the rejects at a wedding are always put in the last table, in the back of the room, and then these rejects get together for some sort of adventure.
But, I am not sure if it is just the trailer's fault for not conveying the type of film correctly or if the film is actually missing something to tie it all together. I am hoping that if we get another trailer that things seem to fall into place.
