The Resident Evil franchise is based on Capcom’s hugely popular video game series comes the final installment in the most successful video game film franchise ever, which has grossed over $1 billion worldwide to date.

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter takes place immediately after Resident Evil: Retribution (the previous one) despite getting released five years after it.

Milla Jovovich is the only actor to appear in every single film of the Resident Evil film franchise.

Japan is lucky and will get to see the film starting on December 23, 2016. While it will not be released in North America until January 27, 2017.

A much better trailer for Resident Evil: The Final Chapter than the First Trailer. This trailer focuses more on the mutants. It opens with what looks like a great scene featuring Alice being chased by a vicious flying creature.

I also like how this trailer gives the viewer some back story of the events that have lead up to the situation Alice now faces. Not everyone is probably a fan of the series and this allows the viewer to have a sense of what is going on...something the other trailers did not divulge.

The post apocalyptic world looks great and the cinematography along with it looks great too. Everything looks completely realistic and what I would imagine the world would look like after a catastrophic event like what happened in Resident Evil: Retribution.

With any Resident Evil film you know you are in for a fantastical action packed adventure ride, and this "final" installment is no different.
