Man vs Snake is a documentary feature film the quest for the highest video game score of all time. The film tells the story of Timothy McVey (not to be confused with the Oklahoma City bomber) who in 1984 was the first person in history to score over one billion points on an arcade game (in over 44 hours of continuous play) and his present day odyssey to better his score and set a new world record. Along the way, we meet players from Canada, Italy and Japan all with a connection to the video game Nibbler and all with interesting lives and aspirations of their own. The doc features intimate interviews with the players, days-long back-breaking marathon attempts and unique archival footage from the 1980s. While the film is very entertaining, it also seeks to explore the central theme of one man's pursuit of his dreams and the lengths he will go to realize them. Even if you're not a gamer yourself, we feel you will enjoy this film, as it provides a privileged view of a unique subculture.
