Seth's father was shot and killed the day after he was born. His mother took a trip to the bottom of Lake Michigan. His family is full of these strange and untimely deaths. An uncle disappeared only to be found mangled in farm equipment. An aunt was struck by a Buick after Sunday mass. Even the families appliances and pets seem to fall pray to some strange curse. These unaccountable events have left Seth unable to leave his home without a feeling of consternation.
