Trailer for La Source.
When they were teenagers, Josue Lajeunesse and his brother had a dream. They wanted to find a way of channeling water from the mountain that is the only local source of clean drinking water directly to their rural village of La Source, Haiti. In 1989, Josue moved to New Jersey ¬– where he still works as a custodian at Princeton University and as a taxi driver, logging long hours so that he can send money home. When Princeton students hear about Josue’s dream, they rally to his support. Then, the massive earthquake of 2010 rocks Haiti, causing widespread destruction. Will the group succeed in solving the logistical, political, and financial issues that have kept Josue, his brother and the village from realizing their dream?
Narrated by Academy Award nominee Don Cheadle, this movie is not for everyone. If you are a fan of cynicism, hopelessness, and doing nothing to improve your community, stay away. For the rest of us, there is La Source.
