Giraffes emit sounds that people do not hear. Lía, Tania and Manuel are like Giraffes.

They are young flatmates seeking their footing in today's Cuba, where they must fight for a home of their own. Filled with sensual tension, Manuel, Lia and Tania join forces to survive.

Giraffes takes us along in this silent war largely set indoors. Today's Havana is represented in the waitress Lia, who seems more interested in the good life than her boyfriend Manuel does. Three beautiful twenty-somethings in a house inevitably leads to more tension than just the question of who owns the property. All the pent-up irritations and sensuality reach the boiling point just as a hurricane approaches.
