Over three years, filmmaker Stéphane Malterre captured their dramatic lives in Syria, fighting against Daesh (also known as ISIS) and Bashar al-Assad's regime. Abdel Rahmane joins the revolution as a commanding soldier for the Islamist rebels under the name Abu Hajar, while Bassam works behind the scenes as an ad hoc tribunal judge and sheik.
