Billy Crudup will "Eat, Pray, Love" with Julia Roberts, Javier Bardem and Richard Jenkins

Billy Crudup will "Eat, Pray, Love" with Julia Roberts, Javier Bardem and Richard Jenkins. The star has joined the Ryan Murphy-helmed  film adapted from the Elizabeth Gilbert bestselling memoir. Jennifer Salt wrote the adaptation alongside Murphy.

The story follows a married woman who goes on a journey of self-discovery after attempting to fall pregnant and realizing that she's not in fact living the life she dreams of.

Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner are producing via Plan B and shooting starts next week some time. Crudup was last seen in the Michael Mann-directed "Public Enemies" with Johnny Depp and Christian Bale. Prior to that, he starred as Doctor Manhattan in Zack Snyder's "Watchmen" interpretation.

Richard Jenkins cast in Let Me In

It might not be a film that anyone thought needed remaking, but at least the American version of Let The Right One In will have a top notch cast, starting with character thesp Richard Jenkins.

Jenkins will play the guardian of a girl who just happens to be a vampire. And playing the blood-hunting kid? Chloe Moretz.

She might not be a big name right now, but she's about to become huge after Matthew Vaughn's Kick-Ass, in which she plays Hit Girl (below), arrives.

Opposite her as the awkward boy who strikes up a friendship with the dangerous youngster is Kodi Smit-McPhee -   Viggo Mortensen's son in The Road.

Cloverfield director Matt Reeves is the man charged with making sure it doesn't embarrass itself - not an easy job, given the original's pedigree…

Let The Right One In Remake Cast Announced

An official press release from Overture Films has named three stars of Matt Reeves' Let Me In, adapted from the novel Let the Right One In. They are Kodi Smitt McPhee, Chloe Moretz and Richard Jenkins. There's lovely for you. Reeves is quouted as saying "Kodi, Chloe, and Richard are my absolute dream cast. I couldn't be more excited to be working with them." As previously reported, Smit-McPhee will be playing Owen, formerly Oskar, and Moretz will be playing Abby, formerly Eli. Very much not as previously reported, Jenkins will be taking the role originally known as Hakan. The press release avoids giving us this character's new moniker. Why would that be? This will be the second high-profile horror release for Jenkins next year, after his key role in Drew Goddard's Cabin in the Woods. Good for us - he's great. Remember the casting rumors last week about Philip Seymour Hoffman, Chloe Moretz and Kodi Smit-McPhee being cast in the American remake of Let The Right One In? Turns out they were two-thirds right.
