Review: WATCHMEN: ULTIMATE CUT

Thursday, November 12, 2009 12:56 PM | From We Are Movie Geeks

watchmen ultimate cut

It’s been less than a year since WATCHMEN hit the big screen and already we’re seeing our third cut of the film, and easily the most expansive. I’ll start off by saying this is a review of the film, not of the DVD/Blu-ray and all of it’s bonus features. I’ve seen every cut of the film to date and I felt that at this point, only a few months after the last release it’d be important to know if this is the version of the film to own or not, and whether or not you should buy it if you…

WATCHMEN Directors Cut Blu-ray Review

Monday, July 20, 2009 11:14 PM | From Collider
Watchmen is one of the best films of 2009. It’s challenging, subversive, fascinating. It can’t compare with the original graphic novel, as made by Dave Gibbons and Alan Moore but it never could. Watchmen, the comic book was a revelation in its time. It took a part of our culture (superheroes through comic books) and [...] Read Article

A Deleted Scene from the Watchmen: Directors Cut

Monday, July 13, 2009 7:28 AM | From /Film
[WARNING: This post/video contains spoilers for the graphic novel of Watchmen, as well as the Watchmen: Director's Cut.] One of the things I found remarkable about Alan Moore's Watchmen graphic novel was how deeply-layered it was. When Zack Snyder's Watchmen was released back in March (see the review we did with Kevin Smith here), almost everyone I spoke with had a different opinion about their favorite scene from the book that was noticeably absent in the final film. Snyder actually filmed a lot of the scenes people were referring to, but they were cut from the theatrical release. Fortunately, when the Watchmen: Director's Cut hits Blu-Ray on July 21st, we'll see many of those deleted scenes reincorporated into the film. Hit the jump to see one such scene and let us know your thoughts in the comments. This scene opens an image of the Tales of the Black Freighter comic book, which ... Read Article

Deleted Watchmen Scene!

Monday, July 13, 2009 1:42 AM | From CanMag.Com
I have been constantly nagging Warner Bros about them sending me a Blu-ray copy of the Director's Cut of Watchmen. I loved the film in theaters and can't wait to see what else Zack Snyder has in store for us in his original vision. Something long, that's for sure.

To give us a taste, we've been alerted to a deleted scene from Watchmen that will be included with the Director's Cut.

Deleted Scene for Watchmen
It turns out that Hollis Mason (Night Owl) dies in Watchmen, but we didn't get to see it. You can either wait two weeks to see what you missed, or check it out below thanks to TrailerAddict. Read Article
