Ben Stiller Is A Lazy Bum. And This Trailer For Greenberg Proves It
Monday, November 23, 2009 9:16 PM | From Latino Review
Ben Stiller is my love/hate actor. I love it when he plays wacky characters like in Dodgeball and Tropic Thunder, but hate him when he plays himself in, oh...every single one of his romantic comedies. So I'm curious as to how he'll be in his new film "Greenberg" directed by Noah Baumbach, who directed The Squid and the Whale and also wrote The Fantastic Mr. Fox and The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou. He's a great writer and I really liked Squid and the Whale so I'm actually looking forward to this one.Ben Stiller playes Roger Greenberg, a New Yorker who moves to Los Angeles in order to figure out his life while he housesits for his brother, and he soon sparks with his brother's assistant. The film also stars Jennifer Jason Leigh who wrote it as well.Check out the trailer below.

Justin Theroux To Write Space Invader Rom-Com
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 3:20 PM | From Screen Rant
Today we get yet another piece of news that another classic video game is being adapted… Okay, that’s not true, but I couldn’t resist…
Actually, this isn’t news that the classic arcade game, Space Invaders, is being brought to the big-screen – it’s actually the announcement that actor-turned-screenwriter, Justin Theroux (Tropic Thunder, Iron Man 2), is [...]
Iron Man to Space Invader

Justin Theroux the actor seems to be getting supplanted by Justin Theroux the screenwriter lately, as the double-threat is racking up the scripting credits recently with the likes of Tropic Thunder and Iron Man 2. Next up for Theroux is the sci-fi romantic comedy Space Invader.
Justin Theroux Suits Up for Space
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 1:20 PM | From Latino Review
Justin Theroux has just been tapped to write the script for Space Invader and it's set to be a romantic comedy starring astronauts. Now, here are the really good parts: Will Arnett is attached to star and Theroux, for those of you who don't remember, is responsible for the screenplays for Tropic Thunder and Iron Man 2, which means Space Invader could actually be kind of great, bordering on awesome. The original draft of Space Invader, written by Mike Lisbe and Nate Reger, was about "a man who decides to go to space after he suspects that his longtime girlfriend, an astronaut, is cheating on him with another spacewalker." I can't help but start to like the sound of this project.

Justin Theroux Writing Astro Romantic Comedy Space Invader
Only in the last few years has actor Justin Theroux turned to writing, but after the enormous success of his work with Etan Cohen on Ben Stiller's action comedy Tropic Thunder, he snagged a dream job writing Iron Man 2 for Jon Favreau and Marvel Entertainment. Though it was recently announced that Theroux would be producing an Air Guitar feature for Paramount, THR reports that's not stopping him from writing his next project, titled Space Invader, a romantic comedy about a man who decides to journey into space after he suspects that his longtime girlfriend, an astronaut, is cheating on him with another spacewalker.
Will Arnett (last seen in Disney's G-Force) is attached to star, though it's uncertain which male role he's taking on (I'd assume he's playing the "other" cheating guy). Mike Lisbe and Nate Reger sold the project to Fox and penned the original draft of the comedy. Will ...
Justin Theroux Sending Will Arnett Into Space
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 8:12 AM | From Cinema Blend
Justin Theroux's second-act career as a screenwriter has been incredibly entertaining to watch, both because you never expect that actors are paying enough attention on set to go behind the scenes, and hey, every time Variety runs a picture of him, it's never a bad thing. Theroux, once an actor known for roles on Six Feet Under and Charlie's Angels, parlayed his writing work on Tropic Thunder into a gig on Iron Man 2, and now the screenplay jobs just keep ...
Justin Theroux and Will Arnett Speed Up and Reverse Direction for Non-Videogame Adaptation SPACE INVADERS
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 2:12 AM | From Collider
Iron Man 2 and Tropic Thunder writer Justin Theroux is penning a new draft of Space Invaders–not based on the video game. The original spec by Mike Lisbe and Nate Reger is about an astronaut who goes into space to catch his girlfriend in the act of cheating on him with a fellow astronaut. [...]
Justin Theroux Scripts Space Invader
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 12:56 AM | From /Film
Justin Theroux has been hired to pen a draft of the astronaut romantic comedy Space Invader. Theroux is an actor turned screenwriter whose writing credits include Tropic Thunder and the upcoming Iron Man 2. Mike Lisbe and Nate Reger sold the project to 20th Century Fox and penned the original draft. The concept is actually kind of funny, and has nothing to do with the famous retro video game (alien pictured above). Details after the jump.
Here is some information on the plot from a scriptshadow review of that early draft:
Doug, the space shuttle janitor, watches helplessly as his astronaut girlfriend heads off on a 3 month International Space Station mission with Stamp Majors, all-American astronaut superstar and philanthropist (think a cross between a real life version of Buzz Lightyear, and the character Owen Wilson plays in Meet The Parents). He begins to think that the two are getting it on ...
