Iron Man 2 director Jon Favreau retweeted the following message on his twitter account, leading us to believe that we can expect the first trailer for Iron Man 2 attached to Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes, which hits theaters on Christmas Day.

I had assumed that Marvel would have wanted to release the trailer with James Cameron's Avatar on December 18th, but it makes sense to attach the teaser to another film starring Robert Downey Jr. But I'm sure the trailer will also premiere online days before the Christmas holiday.

Rumor: Zemeckis Following Christmas Carol with The Nutcracker
Robert Zemeckis' latest CGI feature, A Christmas Carol, is currently playing and seems to be bringing in the cash, as expected. Whereas Zemeckis used to be an amazing filmmaker, he's now become our bi-yearly deliverer of a fantastical 3D CGI version of some beloved holiday story. First it was The Polar Express, this year it's A Christmas Carol, so what's up next after that? Pajiba claims that Zemeckis will eventually be adapting The Nutcracker as well, but it's not clear if that'll come before or after he remakes The Beatles' Yellow Submarine. Whatever the case, I'm not excited, despite my love for these wonderful holiday stories.

Jim Carrey's "A Christmas Carol" took in an estimated $31 million at the domestic box office this weekend. The film ended up in first place, but underperformed, since it cost $200 million to make. Walt Disney Pictures is hoping that as we near Christmas, "Carol" will pick up the pace.

This version of A Christmas Carol is all about the CGI & 3D, and it might be too scary for the very young ones.
Unnecessary and lifeless. These two adjectives describe better than any my thoughts behind A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Robert Zemeckis’ latest, motion-capture adaptation of a classic story. Unnecessary in that this, roughly the 61st time Charles Dickens’ legendary tale, is a story that has been told, verbatim, so many times before by filmmakers who were far more gifted in the art storytelling that even Zemeckis, the man who brought us BACK TO THE FUTURE and FORREST GUMP.
