If you've been craving a badass mythological action movie, it would appear that CLASH OF THE TITANS is happy to oblige.
I'm definitely digging the look of INCREDIBLE HULK director Louis Leterrier's update of the 1981 gods-and-monsters flick, particularly how much of it seems practical in this modern all-CGI "Who's Harryhausen?" climate.
The official synopsis: In CLASH OF THE TITANS, the ultimate struggle...

Ang Lee To Adapt Life Of Pi
Friday, October 30, 2009 1:14 PM | From Cinema Blend
Back in 2000, Ang Lee was the "it" director. He had already done a couple of well-received American films, but it was his wuxia masterpiece Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon that made him a household name. Then, he nearly destroyed his career with his adaptation of the Incredible Hulk, revitalized his career using gay cowboys, and, most recently, directed the heap of mediocrity that was Taking Woodstock. Needless to say, it's been an up-and-down journey for the Chinese director, but he's not ...

Captain America Script Features the Unexpected
Wednesday, October 21, 2009 1:56 AM | From CanMag.Com
Got an itsy bitsy update coming your way for First Avenger: Captain America. Since the film is going to serve as the appropriate link between all the latest Marvel films including Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk and the upcoming Avengers movie, a lot rests on its shoulders. Well, Marvel Comics editor-in-chief recently saw the script for Captain America and, at the very least, seems pleased with it.
Script Talk for First Avenger: Captain America
While taking part in a Q&A posted at ComicBookResources, Joe Quesada had this to say about the Captain America script.
Sticking with Hollywood, Quesada offered a brief update on "The First Avenger: Captain America," with which he's had some involvement. "I've seen a couple of outlines and an initial screenplay, and it's going to rock everyone's socks off," he said. "It's very unexpected, the kind of movie it is." Quesada added that "Captain America" sets up "The Avengers" in "a fantastic way" and also mentioned that there is an undisclosed wish list of actors to play the star-spangled superhero.
Most of the time comic-book movies have big name actors in them, even if they are not in lead roles. "Superman Returns" has Kevin Spacey, "The Dark Knight" has Christian Bale, "Iron Man" has Robert Downey Jr, "The Incredible Hulk" has Edward Norton. The only movie without any major stars is the upcoming "Thor" film. But director Kenneth Branagh is planning on changing that.
