Geek Deal: Three Blu-Ray Movie Packs for $25

Saturday, November 21, 2009 4:20 PM | From /Film
Amazon has some awesome deals on some select three Blu-Ray movie packs. Each of the listed packs below is only $24.99 each, and also comes with $5 credit towards select Amazon on-demand TV-Shows. That's basically $8.33 for each Blu-ray disc. Action Collection: Jumper, Transporter, Transports 2 Action Hero Collection: The Day After Tomorrow, I, Robot, The Terminator Hard Action Collection: Hitman, Street Kings, Man on Fire War Hero Collection: Behind Enemy Lines, Patton, Rescue Dawn Funny Guy Collection: Napoleon Dynamite, Office Space, Young Frankenstein Jock Collection: Dodgeball, Hoosiers, Rocky I always find it amusing how these three packs are grouped. They usually contain one or two good movies and a film you'd never ever buy. But at the price, it's probably still worth it for the two movies you do like. The Funny Guy Collection is probably the one exception, unless you're one of those people that hated Napoleon. Read Article

We heard late last week that it would be playing in front of ‘Zombieland’ starting this coming Friday, but, luckily for all of us trolling, Internet fiends, the new teaser for ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ is in our claws.  It comes to us today courtesy of the trailer park on Myspace.

Check it out:

A Nightmare on Elm Street in HD

All in all, this looks to bring back the scare factor from Craven’s original.  It also looks like it builds on the mythology of Freddy, showing us precisely what happened to him when the parents hunted him down.  You gotta love…

Must Watch: Teaser Trailer for A Nightmare on Elm Street!

Monday, September 28, 2009 12:49 AM | From FirstShowing.net
New Line has debuted the first teaser trailer for A Nightmare on Elm Street tonight on MySpace, which you can see below in all of its high def glory. Although this is a remake from the (in)famous Platinum Dunes (responsible for the recent Friday the 13th and Texas Chainsaw Massacre remakes), it actually looks great. It looks dark, thrilling, beautifully stylized, and possibly more intense than the original, although I've got to be careful saying that. I'm not the biggest fan of this franchise, but I will be seeing this in theaters and going through as many of the originals as I can. Without further ado, check out the brand new teaser trailer below! Watch the first teaser trailer for A Nightmare on Elm Street: You can also watch the teaser for A Nightmare on Elm Street in High Definition on MySpace A re-imagining of the horror icon Freddy Krueger, a serial-killer who ... Oliver Stone Talks Wall Street 2

Tuesday, September 8, 2009 10:00 AM | From /Film
In the history of misunderstood movies, one that stands tall is Oliver Stone's original Wall Street. The 1987 film was not even thinly veiled in its contempt of money players like Gordon Gekko, played by Michael Douglas. Yet to this day Stone still meets people on the street who quote Gekko's lines ("Greed...is good") and claim that the movie, and Gekko's character in particular, pushed them into a career on the real Wall Street. "Theres an absurdity to it," Douglas told the New York Times, which also spoke with Stone about the reasons for finally making a sequel on the eve of the shoot for Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps, which will reunite Stone and Douglas after 23 years. Wall Street is one of Stone's best movies, precisely because Gekko is such a seductive character. Until his protege Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen, who will cameo in the new film) realizes ... Read Article
