This just in: Tom Cruise still does his own stunts and Mary Hart still thinks it's goddamn amazing. Ever since Cruise's romantic action comedy changed its title from the serious-sounding Wichita to the jump-out-a-castle-windowish, Knight & Day, I don't think any of our readers have wondered, "How is that film going?" And even though the current title befits a high concept Matt LeBlanc comeback vehicle, the lack of awareness is odd since Knight is due next summer and directed by James Mangold, who can aptly do the macho-thing (3:10 to Yuma), the girl-thing (Girl, Interrupted), and in between (Walk the Line). In a Vanilla Sky reunion, Cameron Diaz co-stars with Cruise as the romantic interest. She has plenty of happy things to say about him (and the flick's dangerous stunts with footage!) after the jump...
Like many of our readers, I too was non-plussed to see that the footage above (and the ...

EXCL: Salt poster!
Monday, November 16, 2009 4:52 PM | From Joblo.Com
SALT was originally set up as a starring vehicle for Tom Cruise. But Cruise (being Cruise) eventually passed on the project and it's to Angelina Jolie's great credit that she was not only able to step in to star in the film, but become the main selling point. Sometimes we forget that despite Jolie's private life and seemingly being the luckiest woman in the world (or at least second luckiest), she's an Oscar-winning...

J.J. Abrams Not Directing Mission: Impossible 4
Thursday, October 29, 2009 11:42 PM | From Screen Rant
J.J. Abrams, now one of the big guns in Hollywood, was integral in making Mission: Impossible III not only a success, but a good movie – something we needed after M:I:II.
Over the last year we’ve heard rumblings that Tom Cruise was planning the inevitable fourth installment. Shortly thereafter, it was reported that Cruise had asked [...]
John Woos FLYING TIGERS Film to Star Tom Cruise?
Tuesday, October 27, 2009 5:07 PM | From GeekTyrant
According to a little blurt in Variey, John Woo’s next film, Flying Tigers, is being developed as a star vehicle for Tom Cruise who is now attached. Cruise and Woo worked together on Mission Impossible 3 back in the 90’s. I know the script was being written with Crusie in mind, but he wasn’t attached [...]
Tom Cruise Potentially Reteaming with John Woo for Flying Tigers
John Woo's new World War II film Flying Tigers has been in the works for some time now. The fighter squadron story emerged last December when it was part of a trio of projects that Tom Cruise was circling. Since then John Woo announced that he was making the Christopher McQuarrie and Mason Alley scripted picture his next project, but there's been no further updates. Now that all changes in a packed story from Variety about New Regency's upcoming projects, we almost missed the brief mention that Tom Cruise is attached to Flying Tigers, marking his grand return to the cockpit for the first time since 1986's Top Gun.
ComingSoon also caught up with Woo recently and here's what he had to say about Flying Tigers:
"It's based on a true story in WWII, about a group of American volunteer fighter pilots who worked with the Chinese Air Force fighting with the Japanese and ...

Tom Cruise Parties Like A Scientologist With Katie Holmes, John Travolta, and Kelly Preston
Tom Cruise must have charged Katie Holmes overnight because the two partied with Kelly Preston, John Travolta, and over 4000 other Scientologists last week at a massive party in England. We could only imagine how hot of a mess this scenario looked like. They even brought along their tiny tot, Suri Cruise after she was wound up to her fullest extent...
Eerie: Tom Cruise was Christian Bales Inspiration for Patrick Bateman
Su-su-Suri. In a new interview with Black Book, director Mary Harron dryly shares the revelation that Christian Bale's inspiration for his pretty-damn-legendary performance in her American Psycho was none other than Tom Cruise. What's more, there is previous online precedent to connect Cruise's go-getter, '80s attitude and famous physical regimen with Patrick Bateman's yuppie, psychopathic shell. After the jump, we have Harron's very candid remark, as well as the actor who so embodies this strange, pop culture duality...
Some may recall that in author Bret Easton Ellis's novel of the same name from 1991, Bateman resides in the same high-status apartment building as Cruise and actually runs into him on an elevator. This detail is not mentioned in Harron's chat, however...
How did you and Christian Bale develop his character in American Psycho?
Mary Harron: It was definitely a process. [Bale and I] talked a lot, but he was in L.A. and I ...
American Psycho Cruise
Wednesday, October 21, 2009 3:28 PM | From Joblo.Com
Patrick Bateman is well beyond disturbed. Is it more disturbing however that the inspiration for the character came from Tom Cruise?
AMERICAN PSYCHO director Mary Harron did an interview with BlackBook to talk about current projects, as well as Bale's idea to channel Cruise.
This is what was said on developing the character, "It was definitely a process. We talked a lot, but he was in L.A. and I was in New...
