Halloween just passed, but Fox is already working on the 2010 Halloween episode of "The Simpsons," called "Treehouse of Horror XXII." Their plan is to mock the "Twilight" franchise.

Simpsons Creators Say No to a Second Film

Did you love The Simpsons Movie? Did you hate it? Well, guess what; that's all you're getting. According to Variety, the creative minds behind The Simpsons have stated that they're not planning to create another film anytime soon. "It took 18 years to get around to doing the movie," explained creator, Matt Groening. "We got very frustrated. We thought it would take two years but it ended up taking four. Some day maybe we'll do another one -- but don't hold your breath." Variety does hint, however, that Groening and company might be up for the task once the series is over. But after more than 20 seasons on the air (and another two already contracted to run), that doesn't seem to be happening in the near future.   Source: Variety

"The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening revealed that even though the movie earned almost $530 million in worldwide ticket sales on $75 million budget, there are currently no plans to develop a sequel.

Simpsons Season 12 Review

I’m still collecting every season of The Simpsons, even though I missed season 11 somehow. I’m still tempted to listen to every episode commentary, though my appreciation of the seasonal sets has been streamlined.

Review: The Simpsons- The Complete Twelfth Season
The motif for Season 12 is Comic Book Guy, so the newly animated menus feature the characters standing in line for various autographs at a convention. It’s a clever riff appropriate to my favorite character, and they come up with some good stuff.

The commentaries themselves have been going through the motions for a few seasons now. By now, it seems like the show became such a well oiled machine, there aren’t that many gossipy stories about each individual one. You can still put one on for your favorite episode and enjoy hearing the crew talk, but I no longer need to chronicle the whole series via commentary.
