Five Comic Book Pumpkinheads For Halloween

Monday, October 26, 2009 10:42 PM | From MTV Splash Page
Traditionally speaking, Halloween Week is a time for the carving-inclined to sharpen their tools of the trade and dig into a pumpkin. Yeah, there's some gross seed scoopage involved, but after a gourds' chewy center is removed, the plants present a perfect canvas for inscribing a fans' glowing facade of choice. Unfortunately, too many carvers [...] Read Article

Brad Dourif Returns as Chucky for Childs Play Remake

Monday, October 19, 2009 7:21 AM | From HorrorMovies.ca
MistressofHorror emailed in to share word that Brad Dourif will once again return for Childs Play and voice the killer doll Chucky. The creator told AICN; who would you get that’s better? I mean with Chucky so much of it… and David [Kirschner, the producer] and I talk about this a lot, that because he’s a puppet, there’s an aspect of him that feels like he’s an animate... New Stills from Saw VI

Monday, September 21, 2009 4:00 PM | From Screen Rant
Today we bring you two new images from the horror film that just won’t die (zing!). No, it’s not Chucky, Jason, Freddy or Michael Myers - I’m talking about Jigsaw and the weirdly popular Saw series. I could go on and on talking about the synopsis of this movie but are there really people that [...] Read Article

Review: Uwe Bolls SEED(2007)

Wednesday, September 2, 2009 9:07 AM | From GeekTyrant

Ok, so writer, producer and director Uwe Boll (House of the Dead, Bloodrayne, Postal) always gets a bad wrap for his movies. This offering is a step forward in the right direction, kind of. Seed tells the story of Max Seed (Will Sanderson), who is a deranged and disturbed killer who has a fetish for locking [...] Read Article

A Glourious Unreleased Basterds Poster

Thursday, August 27, 2009 10:35 AM | From Screen Rant
The imagery of World War II is truly indelible. So many people creating and reacting to so much havoc would make even the most steadfast of wills flinch. This summer, Quentin Tarantino and company treated us to Inglorious Basterds, which was the seed not only for a great summer movie review, but for a listing of [...] Read Article

FANGORIA Celebrates Fathers Day AKA- Oh look, another tie! Now I have to kill you.

Saturday, June 20, 2009 10:42 PM | From Fangoria
fday100He taught you to tie your shoes and ride a bike, and now hes chasing you around the house with an axe.

Such is fatherhood.

In celebration of Fathers Day, we have gathered our top ten favorite horror movies dads. Without further adieu-

10- Vincent Cassel as Joseph in SHEITAN (2006)
While at the Club Styxx on Christmas Eve, a group of kids run into a shepherd named Joseph and his pregnant wife. But something is peculiar about this sinister dad-to-be and it isnt just the sting of symbolism slapping you in the face.

9- Jim Siedow as the Old Man in THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (1974)
This twisted gourmet father is a well simmered blend of Emeril Lagasse and Jeffery Dahmer, with a dash of that redneck squeal like a pig guy from Deliverance.  Bake at 350 and lets put an apple in that pretty mouth of yours.

8-Brad Dourif as Chucky in SEED OF CHUCKY (2004)
Chuckys son is a real doll (no not that type of Real Doll, you sicko). Glen/Glenda may not come with kung-fu grip, but he/she is the first outwardly homosexual horror movie monster. Barbie and Ken severed heads sold separately.

7-James Whitworth as Jupiter in THE HILLS HAVE EYES (1977)
Papa Jupiter taught lil Mars, Mercury, and Pluto the ways of savage cannibalism. There is some controversy over whether or not Pluto is actually a real sun upsetting school children everywhere.

6- Robert Carlyle as Don in 28 WEEKS LATER (2007)
Poor Don. He is pulled from his nice family dinner and surrounded by rage-induced zombies. This forces him to answer a moral question- if bloody vomiting, twitchy zombies begin chasing you, do you stay and protect your family or just run like hell? Finally a father figure every guy can empathize with.

5-Oliver Smith as Frank Cotton in HELLRAISER (1987)
No, Pinheads not birthing a little thumbtack face. Its Uncle Frank, who killed Kirstys father to steal his skin and wife. A generation of horror fans will always get a chill when they hear the line Come to Daddy.

4- Everett McGill as Dad in PEOPLE UNDER THE STAIRS (1991)
Not only does dear old dad stuff his kids down in the cellar after cutting out their tongues, but Im pretty sure he forced them to untangle those Christmas tree lights and clean out the rat traps while they were down there.

3-Terry O'Quinn as Jerry Blake in THE STEPFATHER (1987)
Son, we need to have a talk about you not cleaning your room. Lets head down to the cellar for this one. And could you bring the shovel?

2- Jon Lormer as Nathan Grantham in CREEPSHOW (1982)
And all these years I have just been giving my dad a crappy tie!  Who knew there was such a thing as a Fathers Day cake?

1-Jack Nicholson as Jack Torrance in THE SHINING (1980)
Jack Nicholson portrays a loving yet stern father figure who strongly believes sparing the axe really can spoil the child.  So what if hes a little cranky? He did buy little Danny that bitchin big wheel.

Did we miss one? Is your fave father not on the list? Let us know in the comments below
