Leaves of Grass Movie Trailer (Pot Thriller Comedy with Ed Norton as Twins)

Monday, November 16, 2009 1:08 AM | From /Film
We were beginning to wonder if Leaves of Grass, a pot comedy thriller starring Edward Norton in the role(s) of identical twins, had hit a buzz or release snag. Or worse: try to recall the actor's Pride and Glory from last year. But judging by this new, rapid-clip trailer, complete with Norton pronouncing "crystal meth" in a thick country accent, Leaves might have yielded a nice return on a visual gag so infamously exploited by Van Damme actioners. Add in wretched black light posters, scenes with Susan Sarandon as the twins' knowing mom, and Richard Dreyfuss channeling Nic Cage's iguana rage, and it's worth a laugh. Here is the official plot synopsis, which we posted last summer. At first I was inclined to add a spoiler warning, but nothing is revealed herein that is not evident in the trailer: "Edward Norton is Bill Kincaid, an Ivy League classics professor, who returns to rural Oklahoma to bury his dangerously ... Beautiful New UK Poster For The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus

Wednesday, October 14, 2009 4:28 PM | From /Film
The main UK poster for Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus falls somewhat short, I feel. There's more than a hint of Harry Potter about it and a definite waft of The Golden Compass too. Thankfully, however, it isn't any longer the only UK poster for the film and not only is the new one better, it's actually pretty bloody amazing. Better almost late than never, I suppose. See the new poster in all its glory after the break - as well as a short film about the misadventures of the original poster. Here's the new poster in all of its glory. What do I have to do to get one of these for my wall? Note that I don't have a single movie poster hanging anywhere so far - but I think I could be about to change that. The poster was sourced from the Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus Support Site. If ... Read Article

First Look: The New A-Team Van Being Chased Around Canada

Saturday, September 19, 2009 2:00 PM | From FirstShowing.net
Yep, there it is, kickin' up dust and driving around the Canadian backcountry. Splash News has landed the first few photos of the iconic black van from The A-Team being chased around British Columbia, Canada. Yes, we already know who's in the cast, yes we already know that this is shooting, yes we already know that Joe Carnahan is directing, and yes, now we know the van is back. There's really nothing more to say about this. I mean, it's a van, and it's supposedly got the A-Team in the back of it, but they're probably not there in this shot. Splash ends this the best: "There's no catching this testosterone-fueled, four-wheeled hellcat." This Joe Carnahan (Smokin' Aces, Pride and Glory) directed and Michael Brandt / Derek Haas (Wanted) written adaptation of the 1980's TV show is about a group of ex-Army Special Forces who work as soldiers while being on ... Nations Pride Trailer: Inglourious Basterds Viral Marketing

Friday, August 7, 2009 3:42 PM | From Film Junk
It still remains to be seen exactly how Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds will compare to his Grindhouse experiment with Robert Rodriguez, but the two projects now have at least one thing in common: they both have fake trailers. Nation's Pride is a faux Nazi propaganda film, a movie-within-a-movie that was directed by Eli Roth. As a form of viral marketing for Inglourious Basterds, he has also cut together a fake trailer [1] for this fictional film. Roth had this to say about it: "I'm going to, like, resurrect the Nazi party. They will be like, 'We love his movie. But he's a Jew! But it's such a good movie. But a Jew made it!' It's going to really throw off all the neo-Nazi's. I can't wait." Nation's Pride premieres on August 21st at Le Gamarr Theatre. Check out the trailer after the jump! Viral Trailer for Inglourious Basterds

Wednesday, August 5, 2009 1:42 AM | From CanMag.Com
When you have a film like Inglourious Basterds, one begins to wonder if The Weinstein Company decided to pass up on all the viral marketing opportunities. With the film due out in a few weeks, the studio did take advantage of some media in an attempt to get some viral word out.

Inglourious Basterds' Viral Film: Nation's Pride
If you've seen most or all the trailers for Inglourious Basterds, then you likely know that the big showdown happens at a movie theater, where all the Nazi high command is visiting for a big German film premiere; including Hitler. What sort of movie can draw these particular individuals out of their bunkers? That movie is Nation's Pride, and the film even has a trailer.

Besides entertaining us, it's good to see the spotlight on Daniel Bruhl. Read Article

Inglourious Basterds Viral: Nations Pride Movie Trailer

Tuesday, August 4, 2009 10:49 PM | From /Film
The Weinstein Co has released a faux trailer for Nation's Pride, the movie within the movie of Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds. Here is some context: In the film, the world premiere of Joseph Goebbels' Nazi propaganda film Nation's Pride is a setting for one of the key moments in the story. The film tells the story of German War Fredrick Zoller (Daniel Bruhl). Bits and pieces from the film appear during Basterds. I could explain more but it might ruin part of the film (if you've seen the trailer then you can likely connect some of the dots). The faux trailer was actually directed by Eli Roth, who also stars in Tarantino's film. Technically I guess you could call this Roth's follow-up to Thanksgiving, the faux horror trailer he created for the Grindhouse double feature. Of course, the faux trailer is in English and has all sorts of modern day trailer ... Read Article
