Having pushed back The Road a month to November, The Weinstein Company freed up some time for marketing. To get the ball rolling, the studio has sent over the film's official one-sheet.

The Road One-Sheet
Academy Award nominee Viggo Mortensen, Academy Award winners Robert Duvall and Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce and 12-year-old Kodi Smit McPhee star in the big-screen adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's best-selling, Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, The Road – the story of a man (Mortensen) and his young son (Smit-McPhee) traveling through a desperate, post-apocalyptic world.

While the first posters to get passed around were virtually colorless, the final version comes with an updated tagline and, low and behold, lots of color to help point out the finer details; including rope: Read Article

Let The Right One In Remake Cast Announced

Thursday, October 1, 2009 9:35 PM | From /Film
An official press release from Overture Films has named three stars of Matt Reeves' Let Me In, adapted from the novel Let the Right One In. They are Kodi Smitt McPhee, Chloe Moretz and Richard Jenkins. There's lovely for you. Reeves is quouted as saying "Kodi, Chloe, and Richard are my absolute dream cast. I couldn't be more excited to be working with them." As previously reported, Smit-McPhee will be playing Owen, formerly Oskar, and Moretz will be playing Abby, formerly Eli. Very much not as previously reported, Jenkins will be taking the role originally known as Hakan. The press release avoids giving us this character's new moniker. Why would that be? This will be the second high-profile horror release for Jenkins next year, after his key role in Drew Goddard's Cabin in the Woods. Good for us - he's great. There's not much else info in the press release, just that the ... Read Article

Updated: Philip Seymour Hoffman & Chloe Moretz in Let Me In

Wednesday, September 23, 2009 4:14 PM | From FirstShowing.net
Just accept it - they're remaking Let the Right One In and there's nothing you can do about it. Instead of sitting around complaining, just be happy that it may actually be shaping up to be a pretty good movie (or so I hope). SlashFilm has an interesting scoop regarding casting on the project that comes from the NY Times' movie info page. They list Kodi Smit-McPhee, the kid from The Road, as the boy Owen (instead of Oskar), Chloe Moretz, the girl from 500 Days of Summer and Kick-Ass, in the role of the vampire girl Abby (instead of Eli), and lastly, Philip Seymour Hoffman. Hoffman, really?! Now that is awesome. Take all this casting as just a rumor at the moment because it hasn't been officially announced. While Smit-McPhee has been mentioned before, I didn't think that he was confirmed for the role. I'm hoping that we hear confirmation ... Read Article
