I had seen Claymore on the shelf at my local entertainment store for a while, but I had avoided watching it until now, mostly because I feared it was going to fall into that whole “girl with sword” stereotype. Jennifer Aniston is on bit of a role. She's picked up a couple casting gigs of recent including Goree Girls, a true story about an all-female country band in a Texas prison in the 1940s. She will topline.

Overnight Productions picked up the project after DreamWorks put it into turnaround. The studio is hoping to have production on Goree Girls up and running by January, with DreamWorks likely to distribute once complete.
Michael Sucsy will make his feature directorial debut with the film, as well as polish up the script. If the name sounds familiar, it was Sucsy who directed Grey Gardens for HBO.
Apparently in 1985 a teen comedy starring a young Helen Hunt and Sarah Jessica Parker called GIRLS JUST WANT TO HAVE FUN was released. The actresses played two girls who share a passion for dancing and the hit show "Dance TV."
