Before the World Ends, Matt Heads to Wyoming for Roland Emmerichs 2012
Wednesday, November 11, 2009 10:48 AM | From Collider
Last month, I was lucky enough to be invited to Jackson Hole, Wyoming to cover the press junket for Roland Emmerich’s upcoming disaster flick 2012, which opens this Friday. Some people reading this may be thinking, “Lucky to go to Wyoming? Har har!” These people (in addition to laughing oddly) have never been to Jackson [...]
10 Things Not To Do on a First Date
Wednesday, November 11, 2009 1:40 AM | From SmakNews
First dates are the best. Ask the hot girl out to dinner, get to know her, enjoy her company, and at the end of the date hopefully get lucky and make plans for a second date. Oh and of course, for the couple that really hit it off, get a goodnight kiss, and perhaps for the real lucky guys, close th
Steve Watches the PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME Trailer

The other day I was invited, along with a number of other video game and movie sites, to Jerry Bruckheimer’s office in Santa Monica to watch the “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” trailer. While the trailer will be online and in theaters very soon, Disney decided to premiere the trailer to our lucky [...]
Support the Cause: Bring LUCKY LUKE to America
Thursday, October 22, 2009 12:49 PM | From GeekTyrant
If I may be so bold as to speak for my fellow writers, GeekTyrant is joining the film blog campaign (featuring Twitchfilm, CHUD, and Cinematical, so far) to release Lucky Luke in the United States.
Lucky Luke is a French film based on a comic series of the same name, a western starring a man who [...]
The adaption will be directed by Robert Schwentke (Time Travelers Wife) and will be written by Jon/Erich Hoeber (Whiteout). The project sounds interesting enough having Willis running around and shooting a lot of people. Let's hope it's a solid R type film because from what I've seen the comic is similar to Wanted with it's violent content. When violent comics are watered down they don't do very well and anger comic fans.
"As a C.I.A. operative, Paul Mosess unique talent for killing took him around the world, from one hotspot to another, carrying out the deadly orders of his superiors. And when he retired, he wanted to put his bloody past behind him. But when a new administration takes over the White House, the powers that be decide that Moses knows too much, forcing him back into the game against the agency that trained him."
Bruce Willis will star as Paul Moses with Morgan Freeman alongside him. The two last were seen together in Lucky Number Slevin, and neither are strangers to comic book films. Willis has starred in adaptations such as Sin City and Surrogates. Freeman has also done his time in the comic book genre as well with Wanted and the recent Batman films.

Ann-Margret And Colin Hanks Feeling Lucky
Friday, September 4, 2009 9:07 AM | From Cinema Blend
Dexter has kind of perfected the notion of a serial killer whom audiences love, and now it seems the indie comedy Lucky is taking the concept and running away with it. Variety reports that the film will follow a "fledgling serial killer who wins the lottery and attempts to pursue his lifelong crush," presumably with the plan to kill her at some point afterward. And yes, this is a comedy!
Colin Hanks, Ari Graynor (who stole every scene in Nick ...
Colin Hanks starring in Lucky
Friday, September 4, 2009 12:28 AM | From Total Film
Colin Hanks, Jeffrey Tambor, Ann-Margret and Ari Graynor have all signed on to the indie comedy Lucky.
It sounds like a twisted little tale, following a man whose lifelong ambition is to be a serial killer and how winning the lottery changes his life, if not his murderous intent. Oh, and he's also pursuing the woman of his dreams, though we think that's romantically, not in the sense that he wants to kill her.
Gill Cates Jr is preparing to call the shots starting next week in Iowa.

DreamWorks and Bay Adapting "I Am Number 4"
Thursday, August 27, 2009 12:56 AM | From CanMag.Com
DreamWorks Pictures has hired scribes Al Gough and Miles Millar to adapt I Am Number 4, the novel co-written by A Million Little Pieces author James Frey and Jobie Hughes. Considering that James Frey got busted for exaggerations and lies on his first book, I have to admit that I'm surprised the author is still going.
But I digress...
Michael Bay and DreamWorks Adapting I Am Number 4
Michael Bay has already joined the production to produce and, if things are to his liking, he will also direct. I Am Number 4 centers on a group of nine aliens whose home planet is destroyed. They escape to Earth disguised as teenagers, and the title character discovers he and the others are still being hunted by the enemy that destroyed their planet.
