The Stars Mingle Around All the Globes Afterparties!

Monday, January 18, 2010 6:24 PM | From POPSUGAR

The InStyle afterparty might have been the most star-studded event post-Golden Globes, but the parties spread out around the city by the end of the night. Drew Barrymore brought another very special date - her brand-new statue, which she'll have to return to get engraved - at HBO's event after helping bring the network two Golden Globe wins for Grey Gardens. Entourage costars Emmanuelle Chriqui and newly-single Jerry Ferrara also posed at HBO. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler sat side-by-side during the ceremony and stuck together at the NBC and Focus Features' bash elsewhere in the Beverly Hilton. Ashley Olsen looked so great in bright blue as she met up with her man Justin Bartha. The stars were milling around the big hotel and the city, party hopping throughout the night.

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr hit up the Sunset Towers event where they chatted with one of the night's winners Robert Downey Jr. Reese Witherspoon also slipped into that one still wearing her pretty dress. The Mad Men cast didn't all get to take the stage to accept for the series's win, but they celebrated together at AMC's viewing party. January Jones, who expressed her love for Jersey Shore in the press room, was spotted looking close to Jeremy Piven and perhaps even leaving together. Kevin Bacon was so happy to be nominated on the same night as his wife and as usual the two looked totally smitten all evening long. James Cameron had a lot to say in the press room about how his actors should get more respect for their work in Avatar, which took home best drama, best director and yet another weekend at number one at the box office.

The Ladies Have Color and Sparkle Despite the Gray in LA

Monday, January 18, 2010 7:36 AM | From POPSUGAR

A little rain didn't dampen the fashion show on the red carpet at last night's Golden Globes in LA. Some of our favorite ladies had to accessorize with umbrellas, but apart from wet trains, they seemed pretty unfazed. Diane Kruger led the evening's artsy trend in her bold pink Christian Lacroix gown, while Cameron Diaz went bright in her red Alexander McQueen. Sandra Bullock also decided on color with purple, though Marion Cotillard went a little more low-key in a muted dark green. Jennifer Garner, meanwhile, opted to go the sparkly route in Versace.

A few ladies, though, decided to forgo the color - Penelope Cruz chose black with a part-lace Giorgio Armani Prive gown, as did January Jones with her Lanvin. Kate Hudson and Anna Kendrick took opposite approaches, each choosing to go with light Marchesa numbers. Drew Barrymore also picked Versace, though her dress was one-shouldered and nude-colored. Fab and Bella had things covered on the style and beauty fronts with their love it or hate it polls, so make sure to check in with them for all the latest news from the carpet!

"Flash of Genius" - More images available

Wednesday, June 3, 2009 7:00 PM | From MovieJungle

Greg Kinnear continues to show his versatility with strong performances in the comedy and drama genres.

This time around, he's under the guidance of director Marc Abraham; a producer of thirty of so films including "Slither" and "Children of Men" who now makes his directorial debut.

Kinnear stars in the film based on a true story of Robert Kearns.

Kinnear is in post production for Paul Greengrass' "Green Zone" written by Academy AwardŽ winner Brian Helgeland and Rajiv Chandresekaran. He can also be seen in "Ghost Town" with Ricky Gervais.

See the gallery now!

More of what this the film is about:

Based on the true story of college professor and part-time inventor Robert Kearns' (Greg Kinnear) long battle with the U.S. automobile industry, Flash of Genius tells the tale of one man whose fight to receive recognition for his ingenuity would come at a heavy price. But this determined engineer refused to be silenced, and he took on the corporate titans in a battle that nobody thought he could win.

The Kearns were a typical 1960s Detroit family, trying to live their version of the American Dream. Local university professor Bob married teacher Phyllis (Lauren Graham) and, by their mid-thirties, had six kids who brought them a hectic but satisfying Midwestern existence. When Bob invents a device that would eventually be used by every car in the world, the Kearns think they have struck gold. But their aspirations are dashed after the auto giants who embraced Bob's creation unceremoniously shunned the man who invented it.

Ignored, threatened and then buried in years of litigation, Bob is haunted by what was done to his family and their future. He becomes a man obsessed with justice and the conviction that his life's work--or for that matter, anyone's work--be acknowledged by those who stood to benefit. And while paying the toll for refusing to compromise his dignity, this everyday David will try the unthinkable: to bring Goliath to his knees.
