They include Terminator Salvation, Up, Land of the Lost, Year One, The Taking of Pelham 123 and Where the Wild Things Are. Terminator Salvation the fourth installment in the popular sci-fi series is directed by McG and stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Bryce Dallas Howard, Moon Bloodgood, Common and Helena Bonham Carter. Release Date: May 22, 2009.
Up Pixars latest animated film is about an old man tying thousands of balloons to his home to fulfill his lifelong dream to see the wilds of South America. Features the voices of Edward Asner, Christopher Plummer, Delroy Lindo and John Ratzenberger. Release Date: May 29, 2009.
Land of the Lost a big screen adaptation of Sid and Marty Kroffts 1970s television series about a mysterious land populated by dinosaurs and other creatures. It stars Will Ferrell, Danny R. McBride, Anna Friel and Jorma Taccone. Release Date: June 5, 2009.
Year One the new comedy from director Harold Ramis about a couple of lazy hunter-gatherers who are banished from their primitive village. It stars Jack Black, Michael Cera, Olivia Wilde, Paul Rudd, June Diane Raphael, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Oliver Platt, David Cross and Hank Azaria. Release Date: June 19, 2009.
The Taking of Pelham 123 a remake of the 1974 Walter Matthau thriller about a group of armed men who hijack a subway car. The update is directed by Tony Scott and stars Denzel Washington, John Travolta, James Gandolfini, Luis Guzmán and John Turturro. Release Date: July 24, 2009.
Where the Wild Things Are Spike Jonzes anticipated adaptation of Maurice Sendak's classic children's story, where Max, a disobedient little boy, creates his own world--a forest inhabited by ferocious wild creatures that crown Max as their ruler.
